Sweden’s airborne early warning eye in the sky — one of the most advanced surveillance aircraft in the world.

The Saab GlobalEye (designated S106 in Swedish service) is Sweden’s airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft, based on the Bombardier Global 6000 business jet platform with Saab’s Erieye ER radar system. It can simultaneously track air, surface, and subsurface targets — a capability unique among AEW&C platforms. Sweden operates two, and the UAE was the launch customer. A technically fascinating and visually distinctive aircraft.

Why collectors choose it

  • One of the most capable AEW&C aircraft in the world
  • Distinctive radar spine makes it instantly recognizable
  • Represents Sweden’s world-class defense electronics industry
  • A rare and sophisticated addition to any Swedish or modern aviation collection
