Sweden’s Cold War workhorse — the armored troop carrier that defined Nordic mechanized warfare.

The Pansarbandvagn 302 (Pbv 302) entered Swedish Army service in 1966 and became the backbone of Swedish mechanized infantry for decades. Built to operate in Sweden’s demanding terrain — from frozen lakes to dense forests — it was designed for amphibious capability and cold-weather reliability from the ground up. Over 600 were produced, and the Pbv 302 remained in active Swedish service well into the 2000s, a testament to its rugged, practical design.

Why collectors choose it

  • Iconic Swedish Cold War hardware with a long and distinguished service record
  • Compact, boxy silhouette instantly recognizable to Nordic military enthusiasts
  • Rare subject in scale model collections — a standout piece on any shelf
  • Essential for building a complete Swedish armored forces display
