3D printed model of AK5D, a compact 5.56mm carbine variant of Sweden’s AK5 family, developed for specialized roles within the Swedish Armed Forces.
The AK5D is a shortened variant of the Automatkarbin 5 series, chambered in 5.56×45 NATO and based on the Swedish adaptation of the FN FNC platform. Featuring a significantly reduced barrel length, the AK5D was developed to provide a more compact weapon option for roles where maneuverability and ease of handling are prioritized.
As part of the AK5 family, the AK5D has been included in the Swedish Armed Forces’ small arms inventory and represents a step toward more compact solutions for close-quarters and specialist applications.
This detailed 3D printed silhouette model captures the distinctive proportions of the AK5D, making it a clean and accurate display piece for collectors interested in Swedish military small arms development.
